To determine if your hitch mounted bike rack will clear your externally mounted spare tire, you will need to take the indicated measurements. Tape a weighted Down string, cord or light rope to the face of the spare tire (this is called a “plumb line”). Measure both the A and B distances. Depending on your receiver tube, compare the measurements needed to clear the spare tire. Use measurement A (measuring from the face of the hitch) for the following receiver tubes & models: RTD2 (HR300/400/2000/2200) RT2DE (HR320/420/520) RT275 (Team Rider, Pro Rider) RT 575 (’07 Pro Rider, HR1200, HR1400)

Use measurement B (measuring from the hitch pin hole) for all other receiver tubes and rack models.
