The Hollywood Express and Yakima® Little Joe are the only ones available with 3 bike capacity and full adjustability, however the Express features bike cradles where the Little Joe® does not.

In the $80 to $95 range, Hollywood trunk racks are compared to Thule®, Yakima®, and Allen®. Hollywood, Yakima® and Thule® feature full adjustability. Hollywood and Yakima® include bike anti-sway devices on the support arms. The Yakima® Super Joe 2 has a two bike capacity at $89, and the Hollywood Baja 3 has a 3 bike capacity at $95.

“Upright” Hitch Racks: $250 to $350 price range

The products reviewed below have many of the same features such as bike anti-sway, locks, and fold down/tilt down. Prices are based on 4 bike capacity/2” hitch receiver. The Hollywood Road Runner clearly stands out as the best value, and is the only one of the four to include a secondary frame anti-sway system. Both the Hollywood Road Runner and the T-Rax Pro feature a hand tightening “no tools” system for securing the rack to the vehicle, while both Thule® and Yakima® require the use of a wrench. The Road Runner is also the only one of the four available for vehicles with externally mounted spare tires.
